- College compete with other colleges for better reputations so they raise prices for new facilities, text books, etc.
- Many students try to get in to colleges but, they only have room for so many, so they have to raise prices to limit the amount of students that get in

SOLUTION
CUTTING COLLEGE TO THREE YEARS
- Some of the general education required freshman and sophomore year classes are not necessary. Cutting the classes, or cramming them in to three years would help
- Three year programs (fewer classes = lower tuition
- Give students an opportunity to take a year off to get a job to help with some expenses.
